Omega Oils

Omega Oils to achieve optimum nutrition and strong immunity

Why are omega oils so important? Essential fatty acids, more commonly referred to as Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils, are healthy fats that the body cannot synthesize itself and therefore must be obtained through high quality dietary sources on a daily basis.

Our Omega Oils…

Our Omega oil supplements offer a reliable daily source of high quality healthy fats, in balanced proportions that are in ideal ratios for the human body.

The prevalence of health conditions associated with a dietary deficiency in healthy fats is growing each year and so, therefore, is the demand for high quality Omega oil supplements.

Although these good fats can be obtained through diet, this is not as easy as it sounds. The average Western diet consists mainly of hard fats, sourced primarily from dairy products, meat and most varieties of margarine. As a result, unless someone goes out of their way to eat the right kinds of foods rich in Omega oils and EFAs (such as seeds, nuts and oily fish), chances are they will not get enough of these healthy fats. Most people tend to eat too much saturated fat and too few of the essential fats.

Most people now fail to consume sufficient levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats – the EFAs – on a daily basis. To make matters worse, many of the polyunsaturated fats that people do manage to get into their diets get damaged through the cooking process, as they are extremely delicate. Once this happens, they can become harmful ‘trans’ or processed fats, also known as ‘hydrogenated’ fats. These prevent the body from making good use of the small quantity of essential fats that the average person consumes in a day.

It is essential to consume sufficient levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats – the EFAs – on a daily basis. Many of our products carry EFSA Approved Health Claims, for more information please visit the EFSA website

These and other beneficial omega oils (such as Omega 9), support a wide range of processes in the body, including the cardiovascular, reproductive, immune and nervous systems. The human body needs these omega oils (and particularly EFAs), to assist in the manufacture and repair of cell membranes. They are also essential for ensuring healthy organ activity, along with assisting the elimination of toxins.

Omega Oils should always be viewed as a holistic exercise, which involves all aspects of health – including everything from diet and exercise, to potential food allergies, gut integrity and digestive disorders.
